Know How Loved You Are With 28 Lovely Quotes and Bible Verses

Spread the love

The love season is here! Can you feel it? February is love month, and you can see the changes in the people around you.

I often feel like it’s the mating season in the human kingdom. Though it’s exciting for most, it can be a reminder of unpleasant feelings of loneliness and lack of romantic love for others.

For this reason, I wanted to share with you 14 quotes and 14 scriptures to remind you of how loved you are.

You Are Loved More Than You Know

Love comes in many forms. Did you know there are types of love? Here’s an example of different types below:

r/coolguides - The different types of love , loved, feeling loved, how loved are you, christian, history of love

  • Philia — Affectionate Love without romantic attraction occurs between friends or family members.
  • Pragma — Enduring Love in the long-term/ committed marriage.
  • Storge — Familiar Love found in the parent-child relationship.
  • Eros — Romantic Love with infatuation and physical pleasure (Valentine’s Day)
  • Ludus — Playful Love includes flirting.
  • Mania — Obsessive Love- obsessive and survival type ( I don’t want that!)
  • Philautia — Self Love includes respecting, accepting, and appreciating yourself.
  • Agape — Selfless Love with God’s unconditional love.

The main types of love in the Bible are only Philia, Storge, Eros, and Agape. Agape is the highest form of it.

But when February comes around, we forget all the other love types we receive on a regular basis for one day of romantic sweetheart love, Eros on Valentine’s Day.

Why are we so prone to forget that we’ve been loved before this day came?

Maybe it’s the mushy commercials or overflow of social media posts of couples professing their love. In the past, I did too forget how loved I was. However, I learned posting does not represent the relationship’s health, and those commercials are a ploy to guilt you, causing men to spend money to show their love and women to expect gifts.

Even though, gifts are the least preferred love language of the five for men and women. Quality time and physical touch is the highest preferred.

But I digress…

What does being Loved mean?

Being means that there are other people and/or animals who have deep affection for you. In short, you are cherished by those individuals, pets, God, and even yourself.

How Do You Know If You Are Loved Truly?

My biggest advice incluedes but not limited to:

  1. Read the love letter God sent to you through the bible. Get in the Word! He already told us how much he loves us, including you.
  2. Reflect on the times you showed up for yourself, that’s love. Maybe the times your family and friends considered you, encouraged you, and helped you out of love.
  3. Ask yourself why yo,u may or may not feel loved. Is there another emotion or frustration keeping you from seeing how loved you are? Is it embarassment, fear of humilitation, hurt, unforgiveness, and anger that’s keeping you from receiving the love in front of you?

Whatever it is that may be holding you back from accepting the love that is already in your life. I wand to remind you that you are loved in so many ways. You are chosen, appreciated, respected, and your presence mean the world to those who had the opportunity to cross your path.

Furthermore, God has put it on my heart to share each of these encouragements with you to remind you of how loved you are.

Even if you are getting gifts or spending the night alone, one day does not define your love-ability. Remember, God loves you 24/7, 365 days, and has placed unique individuals in your life to remind you, like me!
