The Woman Behind The Blog
Honestly, I am just a desert girl who has been saved by grace. If it wasn’t for God and the people He placed in my life to turn me around, I wouldn’t know where I would be.
Made New Mama was created after my transition from wide-eyed graduate student to a new single mother in a flash. This blog was my way to heal from the challenges, trauma, and pain that arose within myself and my closest relationships.
But God had a bigger plan for my blog. Through my adversity, God was creating a testimony and filling his daughter full of wisdom so He could touch the hearts and minds of women like me or have been in similar circumstances.

A Few Interesting Facts About Me
- I have a beautiful daughter who is a 40 y/o stuck in a little girl’s body, who loves tumbling/gymnastics and anything makeup/hair/dancing (pretty much Youtube tutorials).
- I am an Arizona native who enjoys the 110+ degree weather and who has a huge family… thanks to my grandmother.
- I got saved when I was 15, rededicated my life at age 25, and baptized at 29. It’s been a long faith journey alright but I am on fire to grow more mature as His disciple.
- I love trying new things and finding new hobbies. Currently, my new favorite is belly dancing. It is such a great confidence booster once you get your hips moving!
- I am often remembered by my smile or my laugh! If you haven’t heard it or seen my smile, they’re really one of a kind. I get it from my dad!
- By day, I work as an Occupational Therapist, helping seniors and neurological patients recover and redesign their life.
- Lastly, I am a big ‘Love is Blind’ fan and will even watch the international seasons where they have the weird American english voice overs. (Hire me instead, please!)
About Made New Mama – A Christian Resource For Single Moms
My blog is a christian blog that was created with single moms in mind but has evolved to serve the everyday single woman, working mom, and beyond too.
Here I talk about developing our relationship with God and addressing our confidence from every angle to create a foundation of Godfidence, self-care, and authenticity.
In addition, I spend time confronting some of the biggest challenges common to single women/moms and finding ways to resolve them in a “What would Jesus do?” kind of way.

WHAT MAKES ME AN EXPERT?
- I am a single mother and I am a single woman.
- I have struggled in my faith and now I walk with boldness and confidence.
- I have felt inadequate and doubted everything about myself but I am standing strong in the purpose/mission God has given me.
Despite the challenges…
I am passionate about seeing women grow and heal so they can show up as their authentic selves in the world.
I’ve dedicated myself to blogging, leading and supporting mom small groups through my church at Faith Christian Center – Phoenix. Completed additional education and training as a single mom ministry leader and became a certified life breakthrough coach with a specialty in confidence building.
My mission in life is to encourage others to be the best they can be. God has called me to show mercy and encourage through my writing and meeting people to bring them closer to Him which allows them to thrive every single day.
I use humor, facts, scriptures, quotes, actionable steps, and sometimes GIFs to help you better understand life from a different perspective and learn a new way to approach your challenges.
