20 Bible Verses To Help You Thrive In 2022

Spread the love

We have just completed the first month of 2022. Can you believe it? Some may have experienced a thriving month, and some may have struggled like the year before. But I am here to remind you that God wants you to thrive starting from this point on.

When I was growing up, like many others, we received mixed messages around the idea of wealth, riches, success, and prosperity. This way of understanding left us vulnerable to the extreme teaching that God loves when you have less and are suffering.

But to be honest, the God of the Bible, like any other Father, wants to see His children doing and living their best. Through my study and understanding, I could break free from the notion that I will always have to struggle, fight, and toil for God’s sake.

Boy, was I wrong!

Yes, He wants us to be humble and acknowledge Him as the source of all the good things in our life, which he is. But our Lord also wants to see us shine like a light on the top of the hill (Matthew 5:14-15). Through our thriving, others will see God and seek Him for their own life (Matthew 5:16).

What does it mean to THRIVE?

Thrive
/THrīv/
verb
  1. To grow or develop well or vigorously; prosper; flourish; gain in wealth or possessions; progress toward or realize a goal despite or because of circumstances.

I don’t know about you, but that is how I want to live. Instead of the opposite:

  • deteriorate
  • decline
  • wither
  • fade
  • fail
  • struggle
  • worsen
  • labor
  • perish
  • toil
  • break
  • drop off

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want any of those to describe me or my life.

So I wanted to remind you that God wants you to thrive with purpose, peace, wealth, contentment, and so much more through His word. People often forget that God is a giver, even when it’s hard, for the sake of loving us (John 3:16).
