50 Affirmations For Authentic Confidence Today

Spread the love

Today, I will not bore you with a lengthy introduction because I know you clicked on the link to peruse through the 50 affirmations for authentic confidence put together by yours truly. However, before you dive in, I want to clear something up.

What Are Affirmations Exactly?

Affirmations in their original form is just statements of truth, faith, and hope spoken over yourself or others. Speaking affirmations have opened my eyes to a more fantastic realm of in-depth meditation, not only for my thought life and desires but to understand better and believe the fullness of His truth as it pertains to my identity and authentic confidence in God.

Can Christians Use Affirmations?

Yes, Christians can use affirmations. The only problem with them is when the truth we’re repeating over ourselves is coming from a different source and not leading us toward the things of God.

What is the difference between affirmations, mantras, and prayers?

There are a great deal of similarites between the three. However, I feel as affirmations are single statements of truth, mantras are a cluster of ideas that speaks to a particular topic for specific actions, and prayer is you speaking God’s truth back to Him so He can help you do, go through, or become whatever the conversation was about that day.

Prayer is also focused on relationship building, whereas mantras and affirmations are primarily about mindset shifting and creating new beliefs.

When it comes to building your authentic confidence through christian affirmations, we are using truth to re-wire our brain in regards to who we are, what we look like, and what we are capable of accomplishing in our lives with God. Help us to have the same attitude and mindset as Christ.

When should you recite affirmations for authentic confidence?

I believe affirmations are closely related to the truths and words that God shares with us through the bible. For this reason, I go back to the Word to tell me how I should use His truths to improve my confidence, which is daily.

These scriptures are my go-to to remind myself that I need to recite affirmations (God’s truth) in the way He requires:

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Get God’s truth in you so that you can live and enjoy life as you should.

“But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I should be wanting to know more about God’s truth, thinking about it and speaking it all the time.

“Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress.”
‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Really focus on what God has said. With every ounce of effort within you know what God has said about you and His people.

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Think about things that are honest, uplifting, real and life-giving. You shouldn’t be thinking about what you’re lacking more than what you already are.

“Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given—and you will receive even more.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Listen to what God has already said about you and is sharing with you. Speak it back to yourself so you can really understand who you are and live your life in Christ to the fullest.

“For my words are wise, and my thoughts are filled with insight.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭49‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Do you have many questions about yourself and where you fit in this world? Get in His Word and you will see the answers.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Showing up in the world differently starts with letting God in your life and allowing Him to change the way you think. His transformation is good, perfect, and everlasting. Then you will know the path He has for you.

These bible verses are so good, right?

Once I started meditating on the Word, His truths, and started affirming myself in them, I noticed a big shift in how I was showing up in the world. Currently, during my bible reading/studying, I look for one affirming statement of truth to meditate on each day whether it’s all positive or all discipline.

Below I share 50 affirmations that will help increase your confidence in what God has already said about you long ago.
