6 Tools To Help Find Your Identity In Christ: Printable Roundup

Spread the love

It’s been awhile since I have blogged as I’ve been going through a tough time with COVID, the loss of my uncle, and the unnecessary killing of black people in America. America has been shaken in the last few weeks. I’ve even experienced some attacks regarding my identity in Christ.

I honestly have not been able to write or focus on my goals because my soul, my mind, my emotions have been filled with junk. With all the hatred, division, other’s anxiety, girl drama at work and grief, this mama needs a break. I even had to take a day off of work because I felt just weighed down by life all over again.

The Remedy

Of course, when I started to feel like this I always return to my one and only source, the Word of God. I put on my worship music to get into the right mindset and dive right in to reading Romans 12 over and over again. I did that because I needed to meditate on it and really get my perspective back into check.

The last verse gets me every time:

‘Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.’ Romans 12:21

I actually find it hard to live out this verse, but who said that Christian living would be easy?

Then I got an email….

My Spark Of Creativity and Purpose

Back in March, before the COVID madness, I agreed to do my first ever guest post on a wonderful blog for women called One Determined Life. She was creating an identity series to encourage women, believers and non-believers alike, to meditate on their identity in Christ.

I agreed to write one of the posts for this series focused on printables you can use to help you know who you are in Christ. Read at the link below:printables, identity in christ, single mom, women

My Identity Spark

After reading my work from earlier in the year, I was first proud of myself for stepping out to other platforms and finally getting out of the blog bubble. I got a dose of my own medicine and a much needed slap in the face because my identity in Christ was being plagued by all the things going on in this world. I know BETTER!

In Romans 12, I was encouraged not to conform to this world but to think and be different. I was letting the stress of today dampen my light, my passion and my creative outlet.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.’ Romans 12:2

Identity Declaration

I believe that I am a woman of God and a believer of Christ. I’m refusing to be tossed to and fro by hardships, our global panics, and the division in my community. I will stand firm on what You have already spoken about me and my identity. I will share my thoughts and wisdom with others to encourage the lost and believers alike (Roman 12:8). My identity is in Christ, my purpose, the kingdom mission, and the hope you’ve placed in me.
