30 Empowering Reasons To Move Forward And Stop Looking Back

Spread the love

Okay Ladies! It’s time!  Time to leave what does not serve you behind. It’s time to move forward toward your future and to no longer remain stuck in the past but starting to move toward being present today. It’s time!

For the rest of my Journey To 30 series, I am taking a different perspective. Not of reflection, but of a view into the future and enjoying today. I refuse to move at the speed of a sloth or a snail this decade. I ‘m willing to move when God moves me and speak when He gives me a word to share.

It’s time to move forward by being the light.

It’s time to stop living a life short of what you are made to be. Like the scripture says:

You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. Matthew 5:14-16 NLT

Therefore, it’s time for us to walk in the identity and call God has given us. Time to do things scared, afraid, and with no thorough, perfect plan.

Move Forward in Faith

The bible shares that moving forward is a sign of trust and faith that God is going to get you through. We can’t tell what life has in store for us but we know that life can only get better  in God’s hand.

Here are some scriptures to meditate on as you start your own journey with moving forward:

  • Phillipians 3:13 (MY FAVORITE!)
  • Isaiah 43:18
  • 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • John 5:8
  • Job 17:9
  • Psalm 32:8

There are many more scriptures I use for rememberance, but the real motivation is the reasons why we all need to move on.

Move Forward Despite Hindrances

Below I share a list of 30 reasons to make the decision to finally move forward, but you know how we typically do when it’s time to step up…

Year after year: New year, new me! (but still carrying the same baggage, trauma, and dysregulated).

Month after month: I am going to stop reaching out to him or doing this to my kids (but still doing it or at least thinking about it).

Day after day: I’m going to start that business (yet nobody knows about it or theires no evidence of you moving forward with the idea).

It’s time to make the decision today to be done with cycles and move forward in faith, confidence, and with the help of others, you’re in a relationship with.

Whether this is in regards to a job/career, business, relationship, or your spiritual life, we should be seeking to evolve in life. Changing so that we can grow and progress in the things God has called us to do here on earth.

Each piece will come together with every move you make toward the future.” – Tupac Shakur

move forward

All in all,

There are a great deal of reasons I could share; However, that does not change the fact that I would need tobecome fed up in order to change my life. Moving forward is more than being able to pursue the next goal or accomplish the next big life event. Moving forward is about growing, healing, and not sitting on the sideline.

I chose to write this blog post for the last post of the Journey to 30 series because I am fed up with the crap I have been dealing with for the past 10 years. I. know it’s time for me to live the life I know I was destined to live.

Walk in the boldness that God has planted deep inside of me. I knew early on in my life that being comfortable will never feel right to me. That is why for years I have been goal digging, reflecting, learning, and figuring out how to reconnect to my spirit, my God.

I thank you God for your patience, your guidance  presently, and the many dreams about the future. I ask that you walk with me has a become brave enough to move forward. Help me with this constant desire to look back into the past, refusing to move forward. God I know your promises for me and when I forget I know you have one prayer away to keep me in rememberance of your will. In Jesus Name,  Amen.
